WILLIAMS STONE QUARRIES

CHESTER QUARRY - EAST OTIS, MA

The Chester Quarry at our headquarters and fabrication operation in East Otis, Massachusetts, is the source of our beautiful Chester Gray®, known for it's stately dark gray granite frequented with mild white waves, that is tightly grained showing sharp contrasts between finishes. Our new multiwire saw (see below) is cutting granite without explosives resulting in higher yield, higher quality blocks and no blast cracks.

OLD BERKSHIRE QUARRY - EAST OTIS, MA

Adjacent to the East Otis operation is our new Old Berkshire quarry where we have been extracting Old Berkshire%reg; granite, a brownish gray to brown stone with large wavy grain that is proving very popular as dimensional stone for wall stone, paving and landscape amenities.

BLUE SKY & MOONLIT ROSE QUARRIES - CARLTON, GA

Our Carlton, Georgia property is the site of two quarries that produce some of our most popular granites: Williams Blue Sky Gray and Moonlit Rose. These quarries sit on a vein of natural granite which has been estimated by the USGS to be over two miles deep and eight miles wide. Williams Blue Sky is a light gray, tightly grained stone having consistent color and exceptional splitting characteristics. Moonlit Rose is a buff to light pink, tightly grained granite with infrequent black and white waves. It is very popular for ornamental curbing, dimensional stonework, landscape amenities and paving applications.

William Stone's new multi-wire saw is producing beautiful blocks of Chester Gray like the 40-ton piece above.
