BRIDGE CURBING

BEAUTIFUL BRIDGE CURB AT STATE SPECIFICATIONS

Williams Stone Company offers a complete line of bridge curbing fabricated at our East Otis facility. It is available predrilled for anchors in straight and curved curbing, as well as in a variety of sizes and finish treatments.

Standard Sizes

Bridge curbing can be provided in a variety of lengths. See the bridge curb section of our detail drawings page for the following state specifications:


  • Connecticut: 6"x 9½" or 12" bridge curb, straight & radius, manufactured in accordance with M.12.06 of the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges.

  • Massachusetts: 6" x 8" granite bridge curb, straight & radius, manufactured in accordance with M9.04.1, section 501.66 of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Works Standard of Specification for Highways and Bridges.

  • New York State: NYS F-1, 5" x 5.5" [IN STOCK] NYS G-1, 5" x 7.5 NYS R-1, 9" x 13.5"

  • Rhode Island 6" x 9" 10" x 15" Sloped Face

Edge Detail Options

There are five basic edge details that may be specified to the exposed edges of a bridge curb:


  • Straight edge (standard).

  • Buzzed: 1/4-inch camfer (or eased) edge.

  • Rounded edge: one or both edges are chamfered and then rounded off to 1/2-inch or greater radius.

  • Chamfer: 45-degree bevel is standard, 1/2", 3/4: or 1".

  • Beveled mountable: 45-dgree chamfer is standard, up to 3" x 3" or 4" x 4", or 5" x 5".


Joint Options:

There are three basic joint options available for bridge curbing:


  • Full: a straight cut with 90-degree angles at top and bottom. Unless otherwise specified, this joint is considered standard.

  • Mitered: an angled cut, top to bottom, for matching faces at expansion joints, etc. Angles for miters must be supplied or noted on approved submittals.
